Melissa Rycroft Speaks Out About Her Public Breakup

Melissa appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show today and she understandably had some not so kind words to say about her ex fiance Jason Mesnick.

She spoke out for the first time today about being dumped by Jason. Melissa says “it was pretty immediate” after the finale that Mesnick realized he didn’t want to be with her. Once we got back, we both kind of sat in the real world, and we were talking about how [our relationship] was different. He kind of gave up, and I couldn’t understand why at the time. Now I do – because I think there was someone else involved.”

Melissa also went on to say that she could never be friends with Molly and Jason after what they did to her. According to Melissa, she had suspected Jason had been contacting Molly behind her back, and did not believe him when he claimed he had no contact with Molly on the After show.

She also said she was blindsided by the fact the he wanted to start dating Molly, which is why she called him a bastard. She said the only contact she has had with Jason since the break up was an email she sent to him. She says “I felt like I needed to apologize for getting that angry with him, but at the same time, I said, ‘I hope you know why I got that mad.’ We weren’t talking at that point, so it was my way off saying, ‘This is my closure … Don’t reply back.'”

Rycroft says she is moving on and is even dating a new guy named Ty. “Because of the privacy and everything going on, we haven’t really been able to explore a new relationship, but now that everything is over, I’m so excited,” she says. “I’ve known him for two years and kind of done the dating on-and-off. He has been my biggest rock and supporter throughout this whole process. He’s become my best friend.”

Wishing Melissa all the best. She truly deserves some happiness after the hell Jason put her through.

The Real Reason Jason Dumped Melissa

The big question on everyone’s mind is what really happened with Jason and Melissa? Was it all scripted? Well we have all the answers here for you. The summary of what really happened is below –

• The most shocking part of this entire story was the fact that this whole switcharoo fiasco was planned with the producers, Jason, and Molly being in on it. Melissa was an innocent victim in all of this.

• Once it got down to the final 5, Jason told the producers Molly was the one. The producers then suggested to him he take Molly and Melissa to the final two so that Melissa could end up the bachelorette.

• Sometime before the Final rose ceremony, the producers came to Jason with the idea of picking Melissa instead of his real pick Molly to cause a shocking After the rose ceremony and boost up ratings. Jason could have put his foot down but he instead decided to go along with it. Perhaps not realizing the enormous backlash this would cause.

• A couple of days after the final rose ceremony, Molly was informed of this plan. She and Jason began secretly contacting/dating each other. All while Melissa was genuinely in love with Jason and was not aware of what was about to hit her.

• Melissa was asked to be the Bachelorette once dumped by Jason but she ofcourse declined, and Jillian was then picked to be the new Bachelorette.

This all makes sense as anyone watching the show could see Jason was a rather bad actor. There were zero tears coming out of his eyes and he did not seem sincere when pretending to be sad about the break up. I mean who kisses another woman, literally minutes after breaking the heart of your fiancee? And Molly’s whole surprise act was also a bit of a reach. It is very hard to believe that she would be soo eager to jump back into Jason’s arms after having zero contact with him for months.

At the end, Jason sold his soul and allowed himself to be used and manipulated for a ratings ploy. Something tells me he never imagined the tremendous backlash this would cause.

And The Next Bachelorette Is?

This post includes spoilers about the next Bachelorette and what will happen on tonight’s After The Rose Part 2.

The Bachelor Finale aired last night. Realitysteve is now reporting that Jillian Harris will be announced as the next Bachelorette tonight! Other details of what will happen on tonight’s After the Final Rose ceremony are below.

• -Jillian is announced as the next Bachelorette.

• -Melissa was not there. Chris Harrison had a written letter from Melissa that he read which stated she was fine, she’s moved on, and doesn’t regret anything about anything happened.

• -Chris Harrison talking to Naomi, Nikki, Stephanie, Kari, and Erica live in studio. Gets their reaction to everything that happened. They essentially all bag on Jason saying if he was that conflicted, he should’ve waited and not proposed.

The Bachelor Just Took a Sleazy Turn

And just like that, the Bachelor just got sleazy. Tonight’s show was a mix of a Jerry Springer type showdown meets a VH1 dating reunion show.

So Jason did what the blogs had been buzzing about by dumping his fiancee Melissa, and then asking out Molly and making out with her all in the same night! Who knew Jason had a slimey sleazeball in him? What makes this all the more upsetting is the rumor that this was all planned by the show’s producers as an attempt to boost up the ratings.

Well, if that is true, one must say that their planned worked. But at what expense? Seems to me like Jason might have gotten too cocky for his own bridges by thinking America would forgive the loving single Dad we had grown to love. Well think again Jason.

Your actions tonight were a bit shameful. I honestly did not get much sincerity from you. And thought it was VERY TACKY of you to kiss/make out with Molly on the same couch you dumped your fiance on minutes earlier.

Quite frankly, I would prefer Jason to dump his fiance in private next time. My heart goes out to Melissa and her comment about “What is wrong with me?” was heart breaking!

The BIG Bachelor Rumor/Spoiler

This post contains spoilers, please do not read any further if you do not want to know wants during the Finale and after.

Well, you might have heard the BIG bachelor rumor by now which is that Jason Mesnick will be picking Melissa tonight along with a proposal. So that sounds about right for a bachelor finale right? Not exactly. What happens afterward is something that has never happened in the history of the Bachelor franchise.

Jason picks Melissa, and she accepts his proposal. Jason is then rumored to have dumped Melissa during the After the Final Rose show, in which he then tells Molly he wants to start dating her.

Now you might be asking why Jason would do this? Well, some sources claim this was all a big ratings ploy by the producers and that Jason was aware of the plan all along, with Melissa being an innocent victim. While other sources claim Jason’s reason for dumping Melissa was because Melissa had some cold feet once the show wrapped and wanted to take things slow which hurt Jason.

Whatever his reasons might be, we must say tonight’s episode will be a must see. I will be making another post about this later on this week. Feel free to let us know what you think about this new twist!

The Bachelor Jason: I Have Found ‘The One’

In a new interview with People, the Bachelor Jason Mesnick claims to have found the one. Jason’s choice will be revealed on the Bachelor finale this Monday night on ABC. The single dad from Seattle sat down with People to talk about the final two women, Melissa and Molly, the return of DeAnna and whether he finally got his happy ending. Below are some excerpts from the interveiw –

Have you found The One?
I have found the one. I am in love, without a doubt. I do see her as the one I want to marry and spend the rest of my life with. Everyone has been through ups and down in their life, and there are no guarantees when talking about love. I am living proof. I got married before and thought I’d be with her until death do us part, but we all know how that worked out. That said, I am very much in love and very hopeful.

Many fans were quite surprised not to see Jillian in the final two. Elaborate on what went wrong.
There is nothing wrong with Jill. She’s incredible. But in the end, I saw Jill as that ultimate friend, my best friend forever. I couldn’t see it going past that. We both talked about being able to marry your best friend but it has to be more than that. You have to have that spark and passionate connection. There is some of that with her, as witnessed in the hot tub scene, but it was not the kind that would last forever.

So you were surprised to hear DeAnna and Jesse didn’t make it?
Yeah. I thought they were in love and legitimately happy. I really thought they were going to make it — that helped me get over her, as a matter of fact.

What do you see in the remaining two women?
Melissa is really that ultimate woman that is going to stand by your side forever. She’s fun. She’s beautiful and exciting and willing to try new things. Molly is the balance of a lot of different things. We have a great friendship going. There’s passion there. She’s got her eyes wide open to the world. They are both amazing — to use my favorite word — which made for a very, very tough decision.
